A to Z Reading Challenge



 I'M STARTING ANOTHER READING CHALLENGE! I know I only have one other challenge on here, but I just wrote the update for the Around the World Reading Challenge so it feels like more. Now I've only seen one person do this challenge on Youtube (I'll leave her video at the end of the post) but from what I understand basically, you read a book for each letter of the alphabet. Now, from what I've seen you pull from your physical TBR and go in order of the alphabet... and I might be changing up some rules. For one, I mostly read books from my library so I don't own most of the books I read; so for me, I'm just going to be pulling books from my Goodreads TBR (and since it's sitting at 1700+ I got some choices) and I'm not going to force myself to go in order, also I'm going to go by the first letter in the title (but not counting a or the). I'm expecting this to take no more than a few months, I'll just update this post for each book I read.

Microphones and Murders Review

    It's time for another ARC review. I did receive this book via Edelweiss, so shout out to them, but this is a cozy mystery centered around two sisters creating a true-crime podcast. There is representation for those that are hard of hearing since there is a character who is now completely deaf (I don't know how well this is done because I do not fit into this demographic and to my knowledge, this isn't own voices for it). But the book is about Liv Olson who used to work as a sound engineer in the #1 podcast series in the country, but now has given up that job to start her own podcast with her younger stepsister, Camry, called Missing or Murdered and the first season is surrounding the disappearance of Amelia Clark, a young woman who went missing after a Youtube video of her went viral that wasn't the most flattering. Murder Monday #7 The Parachute Murder

    Okay, if there was ever a way to end the month of love it's with talking about the Parachute Murder, granted I never heard of it before I started researching for the blog, but oh boy are you guys in for a doozy.    So, everything started on November 18, 2006, when Els Van Doren, Els Clottemans, and Marcel Somers went skydiving together and it ended up with Van Doren's primary and reserve parachute failing to deploy, causing her to fall to her death from the height of over 2 miles. The police established that the cords of the parachute had been cut and Van Doren's video camera captured the dive (I have no idea if the video is out there, but I didn't really want to watch someone plummet to their death.) As the police continued the investigation and learned of a love triangle between the three of them, in which Clottemans was in love with Sommers and Sommers was in love with Van Doren AND Van Doren and Clottemans had a sexual relationship with Sommers.
