Most Anticipated New Releases for June

So I'm super excited for this month. For one it's my birth month, my birthday's the 15th, so I will get plenty of money to buy new books and some new releases I am VERY excited about.

A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir
Genre: YA, Fantasy
Release Date: June 12

Okay, so I love this series. If you haven't read, I finally recommend it. I can't talk too much about this book without spoiling the first two but the series revolves around two people: Laia, a young girl who is a Scholar, a group that is oppressed by the Martials, and is forced to become a slave of the Commandant in order to save her brother; and Elias, a Martial student at the Academy who ends up being one of the graduates who are competing to be the new ruler of the Empire. In this book, we got failing empires with a possibly crazy emperor and an underhanded Commandant; as well as a grim reaper type character. I'm tempted to reread the series before this book comes out because I'm drawing a few blanks on some of the details.

Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl
Genre: YA, Sci-Fi, Mystery
Release Date: June 5

In high school Beatrice was one of the cool kids, living on cloud nine, until the shocking death of her boyfriend Jim. A year after she graduates, she returns to the estate where she and her friends spent most of their high school days, hoping to find some answers about her late boyfriend's death. However, a mysterious man tells her that time has become stuck. I don't know why this book is giving me Pretty Little Liars vibes and I'm really excited.
