This is Our Story Review

Image
So if you're a fan of Pretty Little Liars, I feel you're gonna enjoy this book. This book is great for when you just wanna snuggle in for a page turner.    This book is surrounded by the death of one Grant Perkins, a teenage prep school boy, who was killed by one of his friends: Logan, Henry, Shep, or John Michael. The problem is that all the boy were at least drunk or high when Grant was shot, no one remembers the details of the night, and every one of the boys had held and shot the gun that killed Grant. Now these four are suspects in a possible murder and are currently in a public high school while their parents, who are pretty damn wealthy, are trying to push the matter under the rug. So in comes Kate Marino, a senior at the public high school who also has an internship with the prosecutor that is in charge of the Grant Perkins case, but Kate has been corresponding with the victim the night before he was killed. Or was she?   What I loved about this book...

When Dimple Met Rishi Review

Image
.  So I'm slightly late on this book, but I'm still reviewing it. It's still fairly new and while it might not be perfect for the snowy weather, if you're in the Southern Hemisphere, this is a great beach read. But you can always put this on your TBR for the summer (and hopefully a sale.)   So, When Dimple Met Rishi is about two Indian teenagers about to start their first steps into adulthood. Dimple is an independent Indian girl who has dreams of going to Stanford for web design and honestly doesn't care whether or not she finds a man. Rishi, on the other hand is a hopeless romantic who wholeheartedly accepts his Indian ideals, including arranged marriage. Most of this book takes place at Insomnia Con, a summer program for aspiring web developers, a program Dimple thought that she wouldn't get the opportunity to go to. However, her parents were more than pleased to pay or her to go to Insomnia Con, but little to Dimple's knowledge, she would be meet...

Dark Places Review

Image
So to start out the year let's talk about Gillian Flynn's Dark Places. Now let me start by saying that this book is very dark, so if you are the person who doesn't want to hear about mass murders, this might be the book to skip.   So our protagonist is Libby Day who survived "The Satan Sacrifice," where her mother and two sisters were killed by their brother Ben, allegedly. Twenty five years later, Libby is running out of money and the Kill Club, which is a society obsessed with true crime, is willing to pay her to talk at their con. She agrees but when she meets them, they all attack her about wrongfully accusing her brother of the murders. Libby decides to use these people for money as she talks to key people in the case: including her brother, who is in prison for life, and her deadbeat father Runner, as she tries to find the truth behind her family. So one of the things that I love about this book is the change of perspectives. There are four differen...

I have scoured the goodread's new releases page and found the new releases that I am the most excited for. Let me know in the comments of any new releases YOU are excited for. Also I want to say this as a side note, these are simply blurbs, I personally don't like knowing too much about a book before going in, so they might not say too much to push you to buy or not buy, also I don't want to just straight copy and paste from Goodreads. The Cruel Prince by Holly Black Release Date: 1.2.2018 Genre: Fantasy, Young Adult So if any of watch booktube, you've probably heard someone talk about this book. This book follows a girl named Jude whose parents were murdered and her sisters were taken by the High Court of Faerie when she was seven.
